Living at Carey
As a student at Carey, you’ll get to take part in an experience unlike any other on campus.
Here you’ll find…
- A vibrant community of 40 undergraduate students
- A spacious dorm room of your own
- Incorporated resources and events for your spiritual growth, like The Identity Lab
- Full meal plan in our dining hall (3 freshly-prepared meals per day, 7 days per week)
- Common lounges for studying and hanging out
- Prime location in the heart of campus: close to eateries, coffee shops, the Nest, the bus loop, the beach, and forest trails
- Weekly community events
- Quiet atmosphere and beautiful surroundings
The Identity Lab is a multi-year practicum to develop a deeper spiritual connection with God, a deeper missional connection with the campus, and a deeper connection between faith and the student’s chosen field of study.
As a student at Carey, you have the option of participating in this discipleship journey as part of the residential experience! We encourage all of our residents to take part in this unique opportunity to grow in their understanding of who we are as humans, Christians and individuals who are called to serve God through our unique identities.
Our 40 dorm rooms are furnished with either a queen-sized or twin-sized bed (4 twins available). All beds have foam-encased pocket-coil mattresses manufactured locally using local materials.
All rooms are single occupancy, complete with a queen / single bed, desk, chair, desk lamp, dresser, floor lamp, closet, and private washroom.
There is a telephone landline in each room, which students can use to make free local and toll free calls. There is also WiFi access throughout the building. Each room is supplied with an ethernet cable to plug in directly or to set up one’s own wireless router.
